Ms. Modarresi's practice focuses on plaintiff's employment and labor litigation, including wage-and-hour, misclassification, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, and whistleblower retaliation cases. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Modarresi prosecuted wage-and-hour, misclassification, employment discrimination, and consumer protection class action lawsuits on behalf of employees and consumers throughout California and nationally.
Ms. Modarresi completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Hebrew, graduating magna cum laude with college honors and Phi Beta Kappa distinction. She received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she served as an Articles Editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and was a member of the Hastings Negotiation & Settlement Team, placing second in the Attorney Advocacy Division at the 2008 International Law School Mediation Tournament in Chicago, Illinois. During law school, Ms. Modarresi externed for the Honorable Susan Illston, U.S. District Court for the Northern District. She also served as a Student Mediator in Hastings' Civil Justice Clinic Mediation Clinic and as a volunteer for the Volunteer Legal Services Program's Legal Advice and Referral Clinic.
Ms. Modarresi is admitted to practice in California state and federal courts.
